CME Policy Statement on Student Remediation:

Instructors will remediate students to facilitate learning. During each session of the course, the instructors review the participants’ attainment of skills and provide feedback. Participants with inadequate code skills who have been provided with a remediation session and who are unable to successfully complete a mega-code reevaluation will be provided with an opportunity for subsequent reevaluation at a later time. Additional study of applicable course materials and skills practice will be suggested.

Participants who do not achieve a score of 84% on the written evaluation will be provided with an opportunity for re-evaluation as follows:

Score above 75% but less than 84% - will be provided mentoring on missed questions and the opportunity for retesting on the same day. A score above 84% must be achieved upon retesting or the participant will be asked to return within 30 days to complete additional written evaluation.

Score less than 75% - will be provided with mentoring by an instructor, assigned additional study of course materials with subsequent written re-evaluation within 30 days.

CME AHA affiliate faculty reserve the right to require a participant with inadequate written test scores and unsuccessful mega-code evaluation to repeat the entire course at a later date. (No additional course fee if attendance within 30 days).
