Mission Statement CME ASSOCIATES, as an accredited provider of continuing medical education, is dedicated to the mission of improving the quality of healthcare delivery in Southern California. CME ASSOCIATES builds professional excellence and leadership by developing mutual trust, respect and empowerment of medical professionals in an enlightened atmosphere. GOALS: The Goal of CME Associates' continuing medical education programs is to provide scientifically accurate, relevant, high quality post-gradate medical and nursing education. Our continuing education activities center around, but are not limited to, adult and pediatric emergency cardiac care (ECC) programs. TARGET AUDIENCE: We provide quality education and continuously adapt to changes in the educational needs of physicians, nurses, paramedics and allied health personnel. TYPE OF ACTIVITIES: Continuing education activities range from one-half day to three-day courses, which cover emergency cardiovascular care issues. Educational methods include direct (live & multimedia) instruction and demonstration, hand-on practice sessions, independent study, and a full range of assessments (written & direct observation of clinical practice in skills stations). EXPECTATION: We expect that our continuing medical education activities will result in an improvement in the knowledge base and skill of healthcare professionals, which will ultimately result in an improvement in clinical patient care. We measure the impact of our continuing medical education activities by analyzing student performance on posttest assessments and their responses on post course evaluations, including measurement of intent to change.
